Help protect your family from the unimaginable

When you take out a Smart Family Life Insurance Policy, we know that you want your little ones protected if something should happen. Unfortunately, the reality is that illness and accidents can happen at any age. That’s why we offer optional Children’s Cover alongside every Smart Family Life Insurance policy, so your loved ones can have some extra protection.

For an additional premium, you can choose a benefit amount of between £10,000 and £30,000, which will be paid out if your child suffers a specified serious illness or injury, or passes away in an accident. This cover is designed to provide some financial relief from things like medical bills and rehabilitation costs if the worst should happen, so your family can focus on getting through it together.

For more information on this and other optional covers, get in touch with one of our UK-based team of specialists today for your free no-obligation quote.

Things to keep in mind

  • Our Children’s Cover is not a standalone policy; it is an optional extra that can be included with your Smart Family Life Insurance
  • The specified illnesses and injuries above cannot be covered if the condition was known to be present at birth
  • Illness or injuries that happened before the start date or within the first 3 months of your policy won’t be covered – this includes instances where symptoms appeared before the start date
  • If the insured child passes away due to non-accidental causes within 28 days of suffering one of the specified illnesses or injuries, we cannot pay the benefit amount
